About Dusky Lodge
We are the largest budget accommodation in Kaikoura with our main complex at 67 Beach Road. We offer a clean homely environment with bunk rooms, doubles, twins, ensuite rooms, and heating in all rooms catering for groups and budget travellers. All bed linen and pillows are provided. There are 3 large kitchens and 2 smaller kitchens fully equipped as well as BBQs on the decks free to use. Free unlimited wifi available throughout the hostel to enjoy. We can provide continental breakfast at $14 per person. Please email us for the menu.
We have a large saltwater pool (summer only) and spa to enjoy all year round while staying with us and don’t forget to eat at our pool cafe & licensed bar (opening hours do vary so please ask at reception)
Our facilities are available for the non-guests ie shower, kitchens only $10 per person, we are open between 9.00 am – 5.00 pm, sign in at reception. Please keep an eye on our hours as they may change due to the covid.
The hostel is an only a 5-minute walk to the town centre, and across the road from Whale Watch. The best bakery in town is situated right beside us and grocery stores only minutes away.
Luggage storage short term is available, if needed ask at reception.
Dusky Lodge is a great place to relax, unwind and take in the great views and spectacular sunsets from our extensive decks. Our friendly team can help book tours or give you advice on what to do while you are with us. We hope to see you soon.
